• For Sale Mini/hobby metal lathe

This has been a great lil' unit, invaluable for making all manner of bits and bobs for my bike projects. 400W 240v single phase, variable speed drive, very portable unlike the unit I've replaced it with. Comes with inside and outside jaws, chuck key, instruction manual.

Specs are in the pic's, but basically:
    300mm between centres
    180mm swing
    20mm spindle bore
    0-2500rpm
    38kg's

    $350

Note: the transverse/thread drive gear is busted, so manual feed only. Never worried me for the kind of basic machining I do, easy repair if you're so inclined.

Guinness can for size reference, any excuse for another!

Examples of stuff I've turned up (only machining training I've had was in high school +30 years ago):
    spacer to replace speedo drive

I didn't make these particular pegs but I've made similar, and made these peg plugs, knurled brake/gear lever toe pieces

    Spigot for crank breather hose

Also tank mount spacers, crash bobbins, plugs for HRC-type brake "reservoir" hose, etc etc etc.

There was once a time when someone like Captain Starfish would have bought this as a spare for the bedroom or kitchen.
One owner. Only driven gently on Sundays. Sold to best offer. First to see will buy. Reward offered for safe return. Coming soon to a cinema near you. Available for a limited time only.

My waterbed broke this morning. Oh, I don't have a waterbed. Bugger.

Interested, might need a little bit of training on it though.

All yours mate, I don't have the room, nor the knowledge of how to use it.
