  • For Sale 2012 BMW S1000RR Racing Red/Alpine White $13k ONO

    Hey all,

    I'm selling my 2012 BMW S1000RR.

This bike was purchased new and delivery was taken on the 19th of July 2012. It was built post the engine pushrod recall, which means that it came directly from the factory all-good-to-go (as opposed to having the engine replaced at BMWs request).

    It comes with as standard:
    • ABS
    • Adjustable Riding Modes (Rain/Sport/Race/Slick)
    • Quickshifter

The following are factory extras that are fitted to the bike:
    • Akrapovic Factory slip-on exhaust
    • Heated grips
    • White rear-seat cowl (replaced with pillion seat in most photos)

(an older photo with the rear-seat cowl on)

It has also been fitted with the following aftermarket extras:
    • MRA Double-bubble Race Screen (same type as used in the WSBK)
    • Titanium screws for the race screen
    • Radguard Radiator Guard

AttackPerformance Rearsets (Black), worth $549USD, were purchased but never fitted, and come with the bike at no extra cost.

t has done a little over 44,300kms of which all but approx. 20km's (an advanced ride day) are commuting kilometers. The bike has always been stored in a garage / underneath a carport.

The bike has recently had its cylinder head, valves and ignition coil replaced under warranty at considerable expense to BMW ($9,000+). This issue was not due to improper maintenance or thrashing the bike (as I am quite the granny rider) but BMW believe it was a manufacturing defect. The bike is now back on the road and working perfectly - as it should!

The bike has been serviced as per the recommended intervals and the logbook has been maintained thoroughly. Last service was conduced on the 6th of December 2014.
It is also still covered under the extended factory warranty which expires on 19/07/2015. Rego is paid until July 2015.

The bike has been obsessively looked-after, however there are a couple of small scratches on the tank (see photo) from where a belt has rubbed against the tank during a charity-ride - the costume I was wearing at a belt that was worn higher up than normal (what ever happened to good karma?!!)

Whilst I love the bike, I am currently too busy to ride it and I would rather see someone use her like she should. I'm also getting married and someone (me) has to pay for the honeymoon somehow! (and here we are)

Reasonable offers will be considered, however I am hesitant to allow test-rides (unless you have the cash on the day).
    $13,000 o.n.o.
    Price lowered for quicker sale.

          Another quick bump.
          Still for sale.
          Located in Pearsall, near Edgewater/Joondalup/Wanneroo.

Note: The initial BMW recall was to do with all bikes built between Sept. 1, 2011, through April 10, 2012 to address an issue with bolts that secure the connecting rods to the crankshaft that could loosen when the bike is ridden at high speed. Not pushrods! (because I am an idiot)

Any chance you would consider a trade of a much cheaper bike?
