  • Wanted 98-2001 Yamaha R1 rear mudguard and standard muffler/midpipe

You guessed it, got pulled over and stickered this morning on the way into work due to my standard mudguard being cut down and the reflector disk being attached but not in an ADR approved position.

If someone has a stock rear mudguard setup or even a universal type bolt on one that would fit my bike please let me know.

I do have an after-market Devil slip on muffler too, would prefer not to have to go through the hassle of getting this permitted so instead would just like to buy or borrow a standard one please.

    Thanks guys.

Im so glad they got you off the streets!

you are a danger to the general public!

I hope you find the parts you need, but honestly just stick a mudflap on the back with a reflector and go over,

the pits are no where near as retarded as cops, most of the the time that is......

well the standard mudguard on a 98-01 R1 is the entire underseat tray.
So cut a piece of plastic and attach it.

The muffler should be fine provided it isn't too loud.

Went over the pits at the Osborne Park inspection centre this morning (it was the closest to my work) - passed fine. I just cut down a car mudguard to suit, added a rear reflector onto said mudguard and stuffed some rolled up chicken wire (painted black) into the exhaust to quieten it down a bit.

        Thread can be closed, thanks.
