• URL Automatic Desciptions

Hi.

I've noticed that when inserting URLS that end in a ')' in a post, they are screwed up when the title of that URL is automatically put as the description by the forum.

eg http:// en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swan_River_(Western_Australia)
becomes Swan River (Western Australia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

(note the last bracket is in the wrong place - instead of in the URL is after the whole lot).

I realise it will be a long way down the list of priorities, but it may be something you could look at in future.

Cheers

Ok it's got nothing to do with the auto title. (which you can turn off when making a post if needed)

Probably has something to do with () not really being part of a standard url charset

Nope - click on the link and you'll see... is missing the ) from the URL.

Yeah, when the forum recognises a url and encapsulating in and , is deciding that the bracket is after the URL and not part of it.

nah.. type something, and then highlight it and click the button just above your post that looks like the infinity sign, and enter url in the prompt.
