Well after last weekend i think its time i traded the xr in for something appropriate to ride around the city on. Problem is i'm a fairly big dude and the cbr 250 feels too small to ride around on. i really think i should start with a 250 road bike to get the feel of the handling after riding around on trail bikes for a few years and having no road bike experience but at the same time i need a bike that feels comfortable. I was just wondering what you guys reckon would be the way to go, and if there was any bike you would recommend that would be a good intermediate bike to cruise around on.

If you're thinking of getting an R1 remember they come with a manditory lobotomy.
at least it seems that way...
If you want to "cruise" seriously have a look at the suzuki sv650 which I've ridden as a loaner while my gix was getting serviced. Great fun, enough power but not enough to get you into serious trouble, and a more trailbike riding position.
