  • How much would a 2001 GSXR 1000 with yoshi be worth?

    Hi

How much would a SUZUKI GSXR 1000 be worth?

    Specs:

    *Spotless
*Yoshimura sports exhaust( and possibly kit)
    *18000kms on the clock
*regularly serviced and taken care of.
*everything is perfect and working tires brakes etc
*dropped once due to side skid but fixed completely by (nelson brothers i think)

How much would the above be worth? What price would be an excellent buy?

Whats the cheapest anyone has seen similar for?

    Thanks

    Gixxer 1000

I would think around a dollar!!

But for a 2 to 3 year old bike with 18,000km, should be able to pick it up for around $11,000 to $11,500 mark.
It not as good a bike as the new K3, so use that as a barginning tool, shit brakes, poor handling, the K3 has sorted most of that shit out! 8)

Calvin is pretty right on with the price however in my opinion is way wrong with the other info.

The K1 and K2 are an awsome bike and you will love it. I had no complaints at all from mine and it is still going strong in the hands of Kevin (brother of the Forums - Disturbed).

It was untouchable around Waneroo and leaps and bounds ahead on the street. It will be a great bike at the right price.

Front brakes are plenty strong enough but just didnt give the same confidence the K3 gives and if your a tall guy you dont fit snugly into the tank as well on the K1 and K2 as you would ont he K3. My only complaints.

      Deej

Thanks a lot for the info guys. Reason i asked is because i might be able to get the foresaid bike for roughly $7000.

Hence is it worth this price?
Also how easy would it be to sell this bike if i needed to and at what price would be a quick sell (in one week!)?

        Thanks

The price you paid for it would sell in a week I would think.

Seeing for 7k your looking at say..... a 96 blade or somthing.

              My view only,
I think there a piece of shit!! Too many better bikes out there, Just because the fucking thing can go fast in a straight line and has the BIG 150HP at the rear wheel, does'nt mean people can ride them!! :?
I have only meet a couple of people that can ride it to it's potential (Deej being one of them). My times around Wanaroo were quicker on a R1 then the Gixxer 1000, I would also have sore fore arms from trying to mussel the bike around the track, nothing like that on any other bike i've had.
As I said my view only, don't give a flying fuck if no one else agrees!! 8)

A QUALIFIER: Calvin and others are very talented and experienced riders and in many cases have way more skilz than I posess. Theirs and everybodys opinion on this forum should be given weight. If we all liked the same bike we would all be riding one brand and one model and it would be a pretty dull bike bay at Scarbs.

My views on the Gixer is my view only, give it whatever weight you think necessary. I am not brand loyal and will swap and change to whatever bike in my opinion is worth having as each year goes by and as each year goes by there are so many more fantastic bikes to choose from. In 1992 it was the Blade, come the late 90's it was the R1, in the 2000's it has been the Gixer. Next year a whole new chapter will open and whos turn in the spotlight it will be .... who knows. I am thinking that for the first time it will be impossible to differentiate and identify any one bike that shines above the others. I am hopeing and I for one cant wait to see and own one of the buities....whatever brand it is.

I hope that when I take the piss outa V-Twins and R1’s you guys realize it is just taking the piss. I think they all have their place. (The V-Twins in a sound proof room getting more HP bolted on and R1’s getting thrown down the street rubber side up.)

Some say he eats sidchrome for breakfast

Ya reckon?? Go the GPX250R, mechanically un-changed for what 14 years? Practically no choice required when purchasing parts, no need to adjust the suspension, tyres technology is so advanced there is only one brand stocked by da bike shops, and feul economy improves the harder you ride it. Need I say more??

As you can tell I'm not loyal to any brand of bike, I've had my fair share! I also like to rev up those that have a dig one way or the other, all in the name of FUN . And yes, some bikes suit some people and not others, fact of life!
