  • JAKE WILSON - New tyres ?

    G'day fellars,

I'm thinking about ordering a set of tyres for the BUSA from JAKE WILSON.

Front: Pilot Power Pure 120/70ZR17 (US$115.99) / Local price AUD$230.00 fitted
    Rear: Pilot Road 3 190/50ZR17 (US$185.99) / Local Price AUD$330.00 fitted

As you can see, prices are close to half of what I've been quoted locally.

Obviously I would need to allow for the additional cost of local fitting.

Has anyone done this before ? any comments or feedback appreciated.

    Cheers,
    H.

Plenty of people on here order from jake wilsons, taking the rims in is the cheapest way to get them fitted or take the whole bike in but it will cost a little more!

would be interesting to see how much Tyres for Bikes would just fit them for.
the other thing is, you have to ride the bike to the place, how do you bring the tyres? have to get a mate to drive them there or something

Go to Total motorcycle Accessories in Vic Park, they'll fit them. Last time I was there they said if you just bring the wheels down they'll do the fiiting for $30 ea tire.

You can get them fitted for $30 if you don't mind ceramic balancing beads.

Tyres for bikes in Vic Park did front & back wheels for me last week ...... Fitting & balancing $50. I took both wheels into them ......great service.....felt a bit guilty not supporting them but @ $370 landed & fitted what do you do?

Did this about a month back..

Front and rear pures delivered for $330..

Joondalup honda fitted them for $70 ride in/ride out (tyres around waist to get there). Ben at joondalup honda is a champ..

Saved myself about $150 over buying them local.

Same. I got a set of Pures from JW ($330). They took 7 days to get to my door. I took the wheels into Peter @ Tyres for Bikes, had a beer next door, 30 mins and $50 later took them home.
