  • 05/06 R1 battery needed today!

Anyone know where I can get an 05/06 R1 battery today?

Just went to install the one dad bought for me from 5* while I was away but they sold him the wrong one.

The 50th anniversary model must have a different terminals for more awesome power delivery.......

Poor form by Five Star Yamaha. Dad took the battery back, to be told that I mustn't know how to install a battery. Then proceeded to charge him a 15% restocking fee.
            Wow.
Sell the wrong item, waste your time, make out you're an idiot and have the audacity to charge you for it.
Not what I've come to expect from them.

I know of some bike shops around that won't take batteries back at all. They count them as used once they put the acid in so if they dont sell them too often they just end up going bad on the shelf. Best option for buying a battery is to take the old one down to the shop and make sure you get one exactly the same size with the plugs in the same spot, dont just work off you memory of what your battery looks like. it'll save lots of hassles in the long run

                    Hi dugy,

We just noticed this thread and are a bit perplexed. We have never charged a restocking fee particularly for an item we always carry?

Can you please clarify with Dad who he was dealing with here so we can rectify this asap?

                    Regards,
