  • I wanna ride naked

    Hey all,

I'm looking at getting into a new bike and have caught the naked bike bug. I was after opionions from people who have ridden/owned the bikes I'm looking at, which are

    Ducati Monster S4R
    Aprilia Tuono R
    Benelli TnT
    MV Agusta Brutale
    Suzuki SV1000
    Triumph Speed Triple

I'm kinda leaning towards the Monster or the Tuono at the moment. I'm really after people who've had actual experience with these bikes. I've read all the reviews I can find in all the mags I can get my hands on, but reading someone's opinions after a 1 day on the bike and actually living with one are 2 completely different things. I wanna make a short list and have before I go out for test rides.

I vote the TnT. Sure it has its flaws, but fark me just look at it!!!!

Mmmm mmmm. Its also got the biggest engine so Im guessing the most torque, hence the easiest wheelies

Pricing wise: I'd go the SV1000.

Or you could buy a TRX....

I had a Speed Triple and can highly recommend them. Mine was the original 1994 model. I sold it with 80,000k's on it. Not one single oil leak, not one single problem - except I did go thru a couple of tachos You're probably looking as something a bit newer though.

Now the SV1000 .... I have a 2003 SV1000N in the shed .... a nice big black one Suzuki are chucking these out the door at the moment - I can't believe there's not more out there. It's a brilliant bike for dam run. A real hooner and ever so difficult to keep the front wheel on the ground.

BUT the bike I realllllllly want, and what IMO the essense of naked hoon bikes is all about, is one of these ..... Anyone know the 6 numbers for Saturday?
