  • Oh I've really fucked the bike now - need help desperatly!!!

OK so I'm a dick, the intention today was that I was going to clean the bike up, do a bit of maint. and I've really fucked it now.

I pulled the front sproket cover off to clean 40,000kms of grease and shit out and putting it back in, I was tightening the bolt that the red arrow points at and it clicked, like really loud. I thought I snapped the head off but now I have no pressure in my clutch at all. I need help here guys, I've got no idea how much damage I've done but my guess is that being where it is, its going to be fuckin expensive!!!

Here's the pic, if anyone knows what I've done can you either email me [email protected] or PM me or even better, give me a call.

    0402 555 550

Yup, I've really fuckin done it now  I could just kick myself

    Hi Campo,
    From your post I'm confused.
Can you take the bolt out?
Can you take the slave cylinder off?
Is the slave cylinder moving when you operate the clutch lever?
First thing I'd do is remove it and see what clicked.
    Let me know.
    Be safe mate,
    Larry

Yeah, take that cover back off and have a look. To have completely lost your clutch probably means that the bit connecting the clutch cable to the clutch worm has broken or become loose.

I think it is more likely that while you were cleaning the whole assembly, something moved, and reassembling the whole thing caused it to fall apart.

          Campo,

Being that you have a hydraulic clutch, behind the slave cylinder there should be a pin which pushes through into the gearbox/clutch basket.

This may have snapped or broke a part of the slave cylinder casting.

So as said in above posting your gonna have to remove the 3 bolts on the master cylinder and remove then inspect the lot for any breakage , when reassembling this there may be some slight pressure across the 3 bolts as you draw them up tight.

Was there any loss of fluid ??

          Good luck

OK, so far this is where I'm at. I've taken all the bolts back out then put them back in. All have tightened properly BUT I still have no pressure in my clutch, remember it's a hydrolic clutch.

I've been told that I'll need to bleed the clutch so I'll do that tomorrow cause right now I've got the shits with just about fuckin everything.

Cunt of a bike  Cunt of a weekend  Cunt of a state.

Fuck sake's will this shit ever end???

I know nothing about how bikes work. So long as they sstart when I press GO then thats all I care about. So this is the only support I can give you:

So on the eight day, after wasting time faffing about with unimportant guff like heaven & earth & the waters & sky & creatures [& having a wee kip] & man.... God created PSB (GenesiSX-R1000)

Pulled the pin out mate, she's still in one piece "phew" there was a little loss of fluid but only a very small dribble, lucky eh?

I'm really hoping that once I bleed the clutch then it should be ok.....I hope.

Did you operate the clutch while the slave cylinder was off? you have no clutch and you have fluid spill, As already said by others bleed it first, do ya know how to do this??

Nah mate, I've still got a lot to do, she's still out of action for now. Gotta bleed it more but to do that I'll have to walk down the shops and get some more hydrolic or brake fluid.

I'll work at it again tomorrow and see how it goes but I'm going to have to pull the whole unit off again to see if the piston is working ok.

 A Honda breaking  horror.

                              Here is some advise.

if it aint broke dont fuck with it.

                              Buy a Suzuki

Who needs a fucking clutch anyway???

                              Sounds crappy Campo.

Snatch it & come back to Perth , go to Savage suzuki , they would do you a good deal on your SP1....
                              Now K3 gixxer 1k , blue ?
