  • My Story about Mack1

I was told by a couple of the boys to post in full what happend in regards to my motorcycle that I Purchased from Mack 1

but first lets clear up why i purchased from Midland, Northside Had none, and couldnt get any in-stock and because i wanted a brand new one... i wasnt going to settle for a 2hnd one

    Ok,

I purchased a 2003 Kawasaki ZZR250 from Mack 1 Kawasaki in Midland. The transaction was smooth, i litterally rang them up and said, do you have one.. they said yes.. I said Put a sold sticker on one il come in tomorrow... Points: 10/10

The next day, i walk in sign the papers and organise my financials etc... I choose some gear - Jacket, Gloves, Helmet and Disc Lock. Got them to put it all aside for me. Points: 10/10

Just short of 1 week later, I ring them up and ask if its ok if they deliver the bike, if it is ok, il pay a delivery fee and yadda yadda... They said no to the delivery fee and said that they were quite happy to deliver it. SWEET! - Points 10/10

That day, I come home just after 6:30, And see the bike in all its shiney glory in some pretty poor light.. To tired to be bothered to ride it, i pushed it into its home in the garage. The next day, i wake up n get ready to go to work, wheel the bike out, checked the mail walked up the driveway, and in doing so glanced at the fuel tank on the left hand side..

Wait a minute, somethings not right here, a Dent the size of a 50c Piece... so i check the other side to make sure that it wasnt a Manufacturing/Styling of the bike... No Dent..
after 30 minutes of scratching my head, and wondering how the heck it got there - Since there is nothing in the garage that the bike lives in appart from 3 walls a roof, a floor and a door..... I came to the conclusion that it was done during delivery. Thinking to myself, no worries im sure they'll sort it... I give them a call and explain what ive discovered... I get as normal a Helpfull gentleman saying, Bring it in so we can sight it blah blah blah then we'll see what we can do.. Cool i think its all sorted... Points: 10/10

I rock up a day or so later, and show them the dent as well as pick up my jacket. I get told "Leave it with me, il see what i can do".. Still under the impression that its all ok after he checked over the left hand side for signs of being dropped etc.. Obviously there were none.... I leave and go back to my daily crap.... Points 10/10

I give them a call to find out if there has been any further information in regards to the tank.... I get an answer, finally.. something along the lines of "We cant fix it as its hard to determine who caused it, If it was us that did it, then no worries the bike would be fixed" - i explained how the bike hadnt even had 3kms on it (which i also noticed on the bike 3kms's not done by me - perhaps run-in?) Totally Fuming i said that i wasnt happy with what was goen down at all and would like for them to try harder than trying to palm me off.. At one stage i even offered to pay a form of an excess on the tank or whatever - if that was what it was going to take. i just wanted my fucken bike fixed. Points: -10/10

Totally shat off still, i call around in regards to dent removal - no 1 can do it ive come to the conclusion.... Fucked if im having a brand new bike with a painted tank already - to hell with that.. MAD MAD MAD!

I get a phone call basically saying, look we cant fix it blah blah blah - but i can offer you a shitty shoei jacket that we got for free anyway and were giving away when you bought a helmet ( i know how this works, im a salesman too - BONEHEADS) we will also give you a free service (sif im goen back for a service since they did such a shit job last time - grease all over one of the fairings, Bike smoking heavily from a bulkload of oil on the exhaust - so easy to wipe off/clean) I refuse his offer ont he shitty jacket. Points: -10/10

useless as tits on a bull. TOTALLY USELESS!

I get told that i should go n see nelsons - apparently the market leader in bike repairs.... so i do so, show em the dent n they said the only way that fucker was coming out was no more paint - pop dent - replace paint - buy new decals - total price $400 odd bux
I ring up Mack 1 and tell them this, and i get "well why dont you get the bike repaired and we'll make up the $400 to you when you buy things and services etc" - ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR easy way out detected. I said No, im not having a brand new bike with a fucken painted tank (why didnt i buy 2hnd from northside :~( ) Points: -10/10

Just a thought - isnt that the same as them owning up to the bike being fucked by them?

Anyway.. I went back they offered me $150 in the store on anything i wanted... i so couldnt be fucked any more so i just got a jacket - a shitty shift jacket n left

    so yeah thats my story
Comment on it - tell me about your previous mack 1 run-ins so i can show them all their previous complaints... or whatever, il let you know for sure, il never go to midland again, even if they are the only people who will ever ever have the part or whatever.

    Newayz take care all.
I came here to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and im all outa bubblegum.

Fuck man, that's bullshit the way they treated you!! I would've gone to punching stations by the time I saw the dent.

Can see why you settled cause dealing with them is just a joke, go see the boys at Northside or Cauesway next time ok.

Man, thats so fucked.

I bought or I'm in the process of getting my zx-6r from mach1. I have been to the majority of bike shops in perth, browsing around looking at the different sizes etc. NOT ONE dealer really took me seriously when I said I was interested in getting a bike. I could just see this "another kid wanting to touch my bikes...dam kids" running through their head. The guys at mach1 took me seriously from the beginning. Gave me a good price upfront. And now I'm waiting until I can finish off the whole process and get my bike. All I'm saying is they seem like top blokes. I will let you know how the rest of the transaction goes.

Come down and have a word to Mark or Alan and they will do
                          better than $14,500 for a 03 model 636.

I've bought 2 bikes from Mack 1, the first, my GPX 250 from Ray Wilson who was a Bloody Legend, he couldn't have helped more.

The zx6r (my current baby) i got from them a bit over a year ago and they treat you like crap once they have your money.

My mate rides an 88 gixxer and they lick his arse everytime he goes in there -- obviously expecting a sale... unfortunately for them he loves it and won't be selling it!

                              Mack 1 are wankers
