Nitrogen Inflation?

Brought 4 new tyres for the car and the guy tried selling me Nitrogen to inflate the tyres.
Rekons it lowers the temperature extremes from hot to cold better fuel economy better wear rates etc etc yada yippy yiow.
Any one heard of this before. How would it go on bikes.
$50 bucks was too rich for me so told him to put in the free stuff nature supplies. I think he thought i was a smart arse(he was a good judge of character)

Nitrogen is used in racing only to keep temps and and reduce wear BUT thats cause these guys tear around a track for up to 30 minutes and get more rear wheels spin than I'll ever see in a lifetime.

Basically, don't do it, it's a waste of time for on road use. If you were racing, welll thats a different story.

Yeah it's big in europe apparently, but I mean, how much difference can it possibly make for road driving? Not much, not worth the $$, just another money making scheme

Its pretty good for putting in car tyres co's it does keep the temp down --->less wear and tear. But personally Id never put it in my bikes tyres co's we need our tyres to get warm and stay warm otherwise we'll end up having a conversation with Mr Bitumen from a front tyre washout :?

The other problem with puting nitrogen in your bikes tyres is that you can't measure the pressure with a normal tyre gauge as the nitrogen particles and density is different to air.

...... and last time I was at the local BP, they didnt have a nitrogen compressor to top up my tires..... cos u would all check your tire pressure every week..... wouldnt u !?!

they do this in europe where the weather is colder anyway mmm but i suppose rippin it around a track still would get them HOT !!!!! ( and sweaty) lol

are the feathers massed as one object ?? or are they free to sparate in to many smaller objects .....

do the bricks have parachutes ?? i reakon the plane would fall faster anyway ..as they ran out of petrol waiting for all the bricks and feathers to land
