If you can get a 100mm length of 30mm nylon rod down to South Lake for an hour one day early next week, I can help. There may be someone else a little closer though.

Yeah, I'm a bit closer, live in Hillarys and have a workshop in Wangara.

I don't have any nylon but heaps of Acetal or Polypropylene.

      What are the bushes for?

        Which one would be harder?

It's to replace a rubber bush on an exhaust mount as I want to limit the amount of movement of my shortened can without using an exhaust bracket if that makes sense

Acetal is harder but the existing rubber is there to reduce vibration.

Just to clarify, the two piece bush is actually two identical bushes?

sorry if this gets confusing, looking at what i wrote now i should have said: if they are identical then the shaft length would 12mm each, when put together total shaft length is 24mm

but being identicle doesnt matter as long as the total shaft length is 24mm

im not worried too much about vibration at the moment

im hoping that this bush along with a new gasket/collar where the exhaust meets the middle section of pipe will lessen the available moment of the can
