I like the idea of it, but I'd like to see how well it holds up in a slide before I would spend money on it.

I could imagine they would get pretty hot.

Never gone for a slide along the bitumen so Ive no idea what I'm talking about but wouldn't the hoodie just slide up and expose your skin during a stack.

Of course you need to consider the mechanism of the crash and get all sciencey but I don't know, isn't that why jackets have the zip along the bottom so you can attach them to pants?

Better than a tshirt I guess.

Probably good enough for an off around town or if you're going out and don't want to heft along a large jacket...wouldn't want to come off at 100+ wearing one though.

Has got 4.5 star reviews from 40 odd reviewers though so it may be worth a nod.

Doesn't really show where the kevlar is lined within the hoodie but regardless i would still prefer and feel comfortable in my ixon jacket.
Would hate to wear something that flaps around in the wind as soon as you take off, especially a hoodie hanging out the back of the helmet?

You'd be surprised how little hoods flap around. In winter I wear hoodies under my jackets all the time. Never had an issue with flaps
