  • Is "All The Gear All The Time" a minority thing?

I've only been living and driving in the city for around a year now but seriously nearly every rider I've seen seem to be the stereotypical squid that everyone on the internet loathes.

I always thought it was obviously a no brainer for stuff like that but most riders seem to show otherwise...

    Thoughts?

Who says they're different people? Sometimes it just depends on the mood.. (or you know, the fucking weather!)

As I always say, if you think you don't need gear you probably don't.

“Crashing is shit for you, shit for the bike, shit for the mechanics and shit for the set-up,” Checa told me a while back. “It’s a signal that you are heading in the wrong direction. You want to win but crashing is the opposite. It’s like being in France when you want to go to England and when you crash you go to Spain. That way you’ll never get to England!” -- Carlos Checa

It was both you and I in response to a comment from Old frt. It is a good replacement for fat dogs though.

I always apply sunscreen before opening the blinds in the morning, ya can't be too careful with those UV rays ya know.
It's better to be thought stupid than open your mouth and remove all doubt

Pure speed in sixth gear on a 5,000 foot straightaway is one thing, but pure speed in third gear on a gravel-strewn, downhill, ess turn is quite another.

I'm happy for fat tits to proliferate... just don't do a google search of it at work... I will have to go back and find that thread to refresh my memory

Not trying to justify no gear or anything just an observation.
