Where can you get BMW / Schuberth helmets in Perth? Is it all BMW car dealerships, or only certain BMW car dealerships, or is it specialised BMW motorcycle shops?

Has it occurred to you to possibly ring one of the BMW bike shops in question? There was plenty of forum discussion across the world about this exact question. This one was on page 1 of google results and is not that old.

Somebody states they are not ADR approved but there was no evidence to support that. This was release about a year ago:

BMW Rider Motorrad - BMW System 6 now in Australia

When I worked for BMW Motorcycles in Burswood until 2009, we were phasing out the System 5 and Sports Integral line helmets (to WAPOL's disappointment) as Schubert couldn't justify supplying their helmets to a small market like Aus given our extra requirements to pass safety approvals so it was canned.

Having said that, I noticed Auto Classic were selling the Enduro helmets so it's worth giving them a call to confirm depending on what type you're after. I owned a Matte black Sports Integral at one point and by Jingo's it was plush and extremely quiet.

      Good luck, ask for Jonas

Thanks. Yes, I phoned Frasers first. They only sell BMW on the East Coast. Then I phoned West Coast BMW, they only sell cars but gave me the number for Auto Classic in Vic Park. They now sell the System 6 BMW helmets, but only have 3 and they are all extra large (64/65). Plus, they can't order me any different sizes in at the moment.

Hence, I'll go and try one on today, but if it's too large then internet here we come (I'll need to take a punt on the size).

Perth amazes me at times - this happens time and time again. I have good money to spend ($1000 on a helmet is ALOT), but nobody wants to take my money from me. Fortunately we have the internet instead, but surely that can't be good for local business?

I went down to Auto Classic in Vic Park and the guy there was very helpful - tried on many different helmets in different sizes. The thing with the System 6 BMW helmets is that they have been discontinued and that they are not getting the new models in for a long time yet. The size they had was way too large for me.

However, he directed me to Helmet House just up the road and they were great. Ended up trying on a Shoei GT Air which seems very quiet.

I'll take it from you. Seriously I have an old system 5, and for the $ I cannot fault it. It is the quietest helmet I have ever head, and very comfortable. Looks like the only way to get one is to import and copp the flack for the missing sticker if you have an accident.

I've just ordered a Schuberth C3 Pro online for $725 delivered, coming from Italy. It gets a great write up and (most importantly for me) is supposedly the quietest helmet on the market at 82dB.
