  • Supercheapauto loyatly card - Great deals!!

Joined a couple weeks ago since I always seem to be in there getting this, that or the other.

Now I am getting an email every friday for a saturday special for members only. Deals are good deals... if you need any of the items they offer, otherwise there can be crap.

This week.. some hammock and tyre shine deals... but the stunner...

    500ml dot 4 brake fluid for $1

Now thats handy for us motorbikers using a 1/4 bottle and then chucking the rest. People with trackies... limit 3 per customer.. thatll keep your brake fluids sorted for a while.. save a few dollars there

I refuse to buy anything from that chain they brought out a WA based Auto chain store that had useful bits in it including for bikes and systematically restocked with Chinese seat covers plastic chrome hubcaps and fluffy steering wheel covers.

And stuff like this - http://www.perthstreetbikes.com/foru...7three-117326/

And them easily being the worst employer I have ever had the misfortune of working for. Not just ordinary, but actively lying to your face type of bad.

My (very, very, very possibly extremely incorrect) understanding is that the Marlows guy had to sell to pay for his divorce, and it wasn't making money anyway.

The same guy is now behind the Malz chain.

That's what I heard from a Malz staff person, who seemed quite knowledgeable and sensible but like I said, it's only hearsay.
One owner. Only driven gently on Sundays. Sold to best offer. First to see will buy. Reward offered for safe return. Coming soon to a cinema near you. Available for a limited time only.

My waterbed broke this morning. Oh, I don't have a waterbed. Bugger.

He also signed a contract as part of the sale about not working in the industry for a set amount of time.

I head to Malz for all my automotive needs. Super cheap if i need a sponge or car wash that sort of thing. because i live a 3 min walk from a store.

Ah, that would make sense. It was quite a long time between the sale of Marlows and the setup of Malz.

Got any more goss info about it all?

                  No not really.

I only know that because my old man did something similar a few years ago. And it came up in the conversation, as my old man used to use marlows a fair bit and had meet Mal and i presume had a few conversations with him.

Was it the gosnells store that he started it all from ?

There was a series of malz ads for a while actually saying that he wasn't allowed to say the name of his previous chain.
