Just something that really caught my eye while I was back home.
I've noticed more and more scooters on our streets, seems to be the new "trend" so to speak but really, other than speed and power, they're not much different to what we ride. So why the hell is it that all scooter riders I see only wear an open face helmet, no gloves, no decent boots, no jacket etc??? :? I mean it doesn't matter if you're on a bike or a scooter, either way, if you come off, you'll still get gravel rash, loose fingers / toes, slide your face down the road and if you do get hit by a cager well you're still screwed.
So do scooter riders think that just cause they can't go as fast that it won't do as much damage as we might if we come off our bikes??
Just my 2c
