  • Ducati's cruiser concept

    http://www.bikesales.com.au/editoria...specials-55680

Best I can do to describe the issue is this.
Normally it goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, shift, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

But now it's a bit more like this
    BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-R-R-r-r-r-r-r-, shift

WTF are those rearsets doing up there? A professional jockey would have a hard time riding that thing let alone a regular-sized human.

Also, high rearsets, low clipon bars, and sports suspension geometry, there's no way this is a cruiser.

There is no way it is anything.

      Some 'artists' rendition.

It's a real bike based on a drag bike - looks amazing!

Well they did it wrong, because drag bikes have low footpegs.

I've had a couple beers but I still can't make heads or tails of it. Are you supposed to lean onto those tank grips? Also -1 for misspelling Dragster.

            Dislkes:
            Belly pan
            Front mudguard
            stupid half frame thing

            Level of disgust...mild to annoying!

They may have been going for this sort of riding position, which is fine for the 6-8 seconds a bike takes to do a quarter mile, but horrid otherwise.

Doesn't really fit into any of these... sportsbike is the closest *shudder*:

I think Ducati have got to the point the Lamborghini is at whereby they're intentionally trying to make something as ugly as possible knowing full well their fans will like it regardless.

I remember awhile back they debadged a Hyundai Veloster before it was released and got people to comment on it, and they did so quite positively... opinions became a little less positive when they realised it was a Hyundai... wonder if they could do the same with Ducati... though the comments may be inverse i.e. negative to positive once they know it's a Duc.

Weird one that one. Just as well they have forceps holding the engine together as it looks like the front fell off.
Life is NOT a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: "Wahoo!! What a ride!"

beautiful. its clean uncluttered italian lines create a visual pleasure......not. my eyes were darting around so much i had to have a lie down because they couldnt cope. busy design is busy.

im thinkin about unbanning hitcatwithbus for him to get his red pencil out.

reminds me of a steam engine.

I welcome anything a little different in styling. In this day and age of impossible to differentiate cars at least with motorcycles there all still enough visual clues to quickly let you know what's coming towards you [ think BMW S1000r or Yamaha R1 front end, instant recognition ]. Sure some of the practicalities on this bike are wrong or jar a bit, but at least you wont die of boredom looking at it or talking about.

Also love how more manufacturers give bikes to "Designers/Builders" to eff around with, there's some good results out there.
