  • Anyone else get stuck in the downpour? Story of near accident

    * Checks weather zone * 65% chance of rain? Hmm, I'll take those odds.
It looked so sunny outside I could not resist a ride. Get all my gear on, music ready - let's do this!

*Having fun on my bike, looks to the west* Oh shit, those are some heavy clouds, better gun it to the hills to escape the downpour. Nek minute, stuck in heavy run sitting at lights waiting for them to go red, about 3 minutes later (these are some long lights), light turns green! Yay, pull out, traveling at 60kms and the wind blows a branch off a tree that misses me by less than a meter (no joke). That definitely woke me up

Now as I write this post it is sunny again. FML haha

Magnificent write up whilst battling torrential rain, gale force winds and scorching sun.
Best I can do to describe the issue is this.
Normally it goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, shift, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

But now it's a bit more like this
      BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-R-R-r-r-r-r-r-, shift

A flailing limb. That old chestnut. Does everyone know how to point their finger in the air , then use it as a windscreen wiper across the helmet visor to flick the water off? Some rigger gloves have a rubber strip that acts like a squeegee
...and as I sailed through the air in slow motion , my life flashed before my eyes , and I found myself completely bored

Ninety nine percent of the people in this world are fools. The rest of us are in great danger of contagion.
