Just wanted to give a big Gday to all of ya, nice to see thiers a big Streetbike community in perth, since none of my mates actually ride ill have to look to people here for advice , i got my learners like3 weeks ago and getting lessons. I dont have my own bike yet so since i cant thrash a bike down the street myself yet i have been reading about other people riding wich seems to care of some of my anxiety specially when i stumbled into the babe section . Im trying not to let the idoit out of me who wants to run down the street and buy anything with 2 wheels so i wanted ask someone here what they think is a great first bike to get would be?.

PS. My Bike cravings would be mainly be for the weekends so i wana get somthin fast and fun

Well speed and fun hey. Let's take the cb250. Now that is a speed demon... NOT! But it is a good bike to learn on. Had my fair bit of fun on one, Wasn't mine though.
There are the zzr250 and the cbr250 which are sports bike, i am sure most people would vouch for the cbr250. speedy and fun, just ask ACE

K here another Q for ya what stores do ya recommend .right now im just havin a geez i got a bit more time before ill splash out on one

Hey Deza, last time I went in there they had a couple of race replicas which looked choice. Depends how much you want to spend. CBR 250 RR from a dealer you are looking at 6 - 8 grand. From learning on a CB250 to riding a double R there is a big difference so take it easy and stay upright.

When you go to Causeway Honda ask for Chookie he point ya in the right direction.

Suzuki RGV 250 is prolly the fastest ( with price in mind ) but they are noisy smelly two strokes and usually well thrashed....
Honda CBR250/Kawazaki ZX250 are similar to each other rev high make lots of noise with not a huge amount of speed
Best all rounders are prolly the kawa zzr 250 or GPX 250 are very common and reliable and fairly cheap to pic up...
Newish Honda VTR 250 would be a good bike but quite pricey...

Try sendind a private message to Spike he has an Aprillia RS250 with some scars but it will be a sound bike mechanicaly might be pricey though, but worth a try....

What price were you thinking of paying ????

ZZR250 and GPX 250 are good from a learning to ride point of view,I dont mean passing a test I mean learning how to survive on the roads...
