i saw al from causeway yamaha today, and he said the guys from yamaha australia had a meeting last night to finalise the release date. he is hoping for the next week or so.

i've agreed on a $9200 trade in on the 98, but i'm fuckin stoked with that price cos it has 50k on the clock, got backed into in a carpark :cry: so it has a cracked nose come, and it fell over at work one day (very long story :evil: ) so it had a few scratches on the tail as well.

Spoke to the guy who is selling me my R1 and he was told at the natioanl meeting of Yamaha there was no release dates. I been offered between $9500 and $10 000 for my 02 R6, depending on K's for when the trade in is done.

It has taken this long for the dam bike I have had to reapply for my finance, as it went past the origianl 30 day approval time, will be buggered if finance get's rejected now.

i heard a rumour that the release date to the dealers will be the 16th .. hence expect them after the 20th sort of thing .. again half a dozen conflicting stories.

Can I suggest:

Dont even bother listening to rumours. It will only make your agony worse. Does listening to a rumour that isnt true make you get your bike any faster?

Just be patient and wait to hear the official word. The fact is, no-one knows except the Yamaha powers that be.

true dood .. but in some ways its a issue .. esp for things like finance approval etc. somethings cant be replicated once the orginal expires. ie interest rates and lost trading value due to kms etc .
