INSURANCE (GULP!)

hey guys

i have a 99 R1 and im 21 years old. Unfortunately im a student so $$$ is tight.

Anyway im just wonderin how much u would expect insurance to be for me.

I only want 3rd party fire and theft though as i cant afford full comprehensive.

If its too $$$ anyone lookin for a cheap shmicko R1 may be in luck!

To give you a bit of an estimate, I have never had insurance before and I thought it would be a good idea, mainly so I could get cheaper insurance in the long run. Anyway, I've got an 89' CBR 250 and the insurance I pay for full comprehensive is $1500. Apparently that will drop to $1000 the next year, but yeh, pretty expensive.

Im 35 and found out even if i drop it of the stand it would cost around $3000 to fix

My 03 Gixer I picked up this morning is insured for $19k and I paid $1150 for 12 months with 50% no claim.

Hmm... My CBR 1100 00/01 costs approx $800ish (I think, or maybe $900ish?) for $12000 with %50 no claim. That is full comprehensive.
It would cost how much dropping off the centre stand????? Shite!
