          and can afford.

Is anyone really gonna notice the extra 150cc's anywhere except at the set of traffic lights?

I don't rekon I'm a good enough rider to make enough use of the 150cc's

But twin's don't come in those size's anyway.

You need to pick between 650s (SV) or 850s (TRX).

              750cc new GSXR

Apparently Two Wheels is testing the new GSXR 750 in next months issue, and it does 300kph (indicated on the speedo ) and I'm not sure if it was verified with a radar gun before you all crusify me.

750 could have a come back as the stepping stone between the new 600's and the hyper 1000's and suzuki have the only cutting edge bike

I've owned both the 1999 GSXR750 and the 2001 GSXR750, both great bikes but yeah, it's a class that's slowly dieing. My next bike will be the CBR600RR for it's weight, handling, performance and looks. The 600's are really picking up the pace and if you're going from the 250 then it's definatly the better option. You can have a lot of fun on the 600's and also learn a lot, just ask Gonz1. He used to do some unbelievable stuff on his old GSXR600.

Really though, take everything for a ride, get a feel for all of them and see what you think. Thats the best way to do it without a doubt!!

Don't buy something you haven't riden.

There was a good review over at www.motorcycledaily.com about two weeks ago? I would factor in a good 10% speedo inaccuracy at top speed, I think 270km/h is a pretty fair bet.. and damn that's fast!

I beg to differ - I would think the Ducati 749R is pretty cutting edge! 8)

The 04 GSX 600 is in stores.

Verrryyy nice. I was surprised how narrow and comfortable it was sitting on it.

                      *sigh*

will someone buy it for me?

Hehe, i had to go in my lunch hour.. the one in North Perth only arrived this morning and i had to go around the alley to see it. (was getting setup for the store)

Hmm, i couldnt tell you for sure about the seat height. I did sit on the 02 before it but i wasnt thinking about it. I only know that im 6" something and it was the most comfortable 600 i've sat on next to the Daytona.

Im sure it's just as comfortable for shorter people. Maybe theres some specs on seat height somewhere?

You could always "tiptoe" at the lights?

The seat height is 825mm, but its the actual width of the bike that makes the difference. The R6 is pretty slim so I am nearly flat foot there (heal about 1" from the ground), the 636 puts ny heal at 3-4", and on the CBR600RR my heal is 7" from the ground and there is about 5mm diference in seat height c.f. to the R6 and 636.

Tip toe is bad. I can slide over and stand with one fool flat at the lights, but if it starts to tip Im stuffed!! Not to mention I havent mastered getting off the bike to move it - there wont be any more sitting on the seat and walking the bike back for me anymore

It definately helps to be tall. Maarken how ever do you manage??
