  • 'Real life' 1/4 Mile Times

I aint no straight line bandit but i've always enjoyed hitting the 1/4 mile with every car/bike i've owned. So thought it might be interesting to start a thread with 1/4 mile results us 'street' riders have achieved and not rely on times we read from our favourite magazines/sites which we all know have been mastered by 'featherweight' gp riders

Spose we should list the following criteria:
    (1) Your bike
    (2) Mods performed to enhance your straight line capability
    (3) E.T & your 60foot time if you know it --> as these are basically a direct reflection upon each other
    (4) Terminal speed --> Even if you suck off the line this will reflect the sheer HP of your bike
    (5) Your mass

    Spose I shall go first.
    -96' Kwaka ZX7R (P)
    - minus 1 tooth on the front sproket & a remus muffler
    - 11.5 @ 195km/hr with a 2.0 60footer.
    - 80kg

    - My ex 93' Suzuki RGV
    - Straight through cans, port & head work
    - 13.8 @ 161km/hr with a 2.3 60footer

    1. It was a 2000 zx-12r.
    2. Roo Racer 3" pipe (used to scare harley riders).
    3. No idea. wasn't good my take-offs suck.
    4. 11.1 @ 218km/h.
    5. 110kg last time i checked (i hear you get 1/10 for every 10kg...so i must get .3 off that TS from you stinker )

Not the fastest trap speed of the night, but the best time. Have dropped a tooth off the front since then so next time I go down I expect a little better.

My problem was trying to keep the front down, I had all my weight forward and the bitch kept on flying up. I think bike had low 10's high 9's in her if the front suspension was tied down.
                      Will you insure me?!
