  • CBR 1000rr Ordered, Owners Impressions?

Well just ordered the 1000 RR, long story but basically got a good deal and saved 2g’s over what some dealers were offering on the trade so signed up on Saturday!

I have ridden the 10R and the 1KRR. Basically my feelings were that the 10 R was the CBR’s evil twin!

Anyway for those that have the CBR what do you think, can you post some riding impressions?
Did you run it in by the book?
Any problems yet (some sites are reporting lumpy tickovers and some weird ticking engine noises (cbr1000.net)
What suspension settings are you running?
I am the old bloke on the black and yellow cbr1krr

if you want to see a "by the book run in" then check the monkeys brand new engine run in method from the motorplex show. included in this is a demonstration in the 7 steps, incluing: step 1: 6 slow laps up and down the quarter, step 2: 1st gear through 4th gear wheelstand times three step 3: ride into snake pit and do 2nd gear donut step 4: ride out of snake pit then around back in and place front wheel on the wall. proceed to go through the gears whilst burning out, once 5th gear is hit then valve bounce for approximately 10 seconds. step 5 after letting bike cool down go back to snake pit and complete another burnout. this time in sixth gear and once again valve bounce for 15 seconds. step 6, wait for other NSX members to join in and proceed to destroy tyre, back end of bike (from steel belted tyre) and chain guard, this also entails another 6th gear rev limiter burnout. step 7: this is done the next time you ride the bike and that is to find out what is wrong with it......
...and on the seventh day God said "Let there be light!", and Chuck Norris said "say please!"

                            H:>nslookup www.xtrememedia.id.au
                            Server: *something*
                            Address: *numbers*

                            DNS request timed out.
                            timeout was 2 seconds.

For some reason, can't seem to find the server??

Anyone else have the problem of red X's?
