  • Woman drivers...

Got to uni this morning and riding on uni grounds towards the motorcycle parking where I have my lectures. This white tarago was in the middle of the road, no signals or whatsoever to indicate what she was doing. I stopped 1 metre behind her and waited.

The next thing I notice was her reverse lights were on and the van moving into me. I honked and she stopped temporary midway and then went again until she relised that I was nearly against her rear window.

I got off to see the only damage was front guard and no damage to wheel or forks, phew. She admitted the fault was her and was willing to pay for the damage. She said that she heard me honk but didnt see me. I know the damage will cost roughly 300 bucks including paint.

Im still very pissed about it as I have only just got the bike.

Anyway I was wondering should I get a painted with the same colour as the bike again, or go the carbon fibre. The CF is cheaper also. Hmm...decisions, decisions.

Anyone know of any good paint shops? I got referred to Motorcycle Panel and Paint

So far: Replacement Front Guard - $80 for secondhand, $150 for new
    Painted: $150

I think if you get carbon-fibre anything on a 250RR you'll be opening yourself up to (even more) jokes from big-bore riders!

Hey, lets not forget that some 250's have a bit of potential against bigger bikes..they're not all bad

Plus some of us are just broke...like me..

I am not at all disappointed with my bike, sure it's uncomfortable, but weighs next to nothing and for a track weapon it's worth it, specially when leaving some of the bigger bikes behind

I'm sure we can all play nicely...
