  • Any idea/fee regarding installing a towball to a Motorcycle?

    Hi guys,

Any ideas or feedback on who to speak to or has installed a towball on their motorcycle??? What is the general riding around towing a trailer on the back of your bike like??? Advantages and disadvantages?? Also who can direct me to someone who custom builds a trailer that can hold another motorcycle on the back?? What is the approximate price to install a towball and build a trailer of this kind??

i have seen some bike trailers in mags before.. but know nothing about tow ball installs. It might even be the case that bike trailers are attached differently? i dont know.

But why dont u use a car instead?

Or if your like me and dont have one, ask a friend to carry your shit

I wouldn't want to ride around with a trailer behind my bike anyway.

Yeah i can see where you are coming from. But the reason why I want to find out about this is because I am a motorcycle instructor and am thinking of getting this done to be able to ride both my bike and the students bike to them. Its purely for business purposes only not for general riding.

                the tow bar that is.

go see papas trailers they make all sorts and would know the specs for a m/c and what you are after is not those rollsroyce models just a tray to carry a bike.

i reckon $500-$800 would do it you can get 6x4s for that
