Hello ppl! *Hello Dragon*
Today we are going to learn about the kindness of Perth people.
Last night I was riding along one of the suburbs along the coast doing about the speed limit *ooh, aah*
I came up to a roundabout and indicated to make a right hand turn, yes not a left but a right. So as I'm at about 90 degrees of my choosen exit I'm doing 30ish??, I indicate left to exit merrygo... roundabout. On the corner of the exit my lights show a cat *hmmm*
It darts right out in front of me while slightly leant over as I'm beginning to exit and straighten up and my thumbs on the indicator so less grip on the bars. THUD! Yes I hit the cat with my front wheel, the bars twist, my hand somehow smacks the horn accidentally, my indicator is now off what the?, and I'm kinda heading for the pavement, but somehow I manage to stop and keep the girl from falling over. Now my left leg is hurting really bad in the foot, calf, and shin and can only pinpoint my foot hitting something??
I double back to do the right thing, perhaps having to ease its suffering. Three girls mid teens are now huddled over the cat crying watching me limp over. I don't know what to say, then ask if it's their cat, which it is and it aint moving from where I hit it, but it's crying in pain, so it's in a bad way. They just pick it up and walk away, one looking over their shoulder at me...
What the? So yes stupid friggin cat, not my fault, it runs out under my tire, I almost drop the bike, I'm in pain and can't walk right, do the right thing and double back and not even an are you ok? Under the circumstances I just bit my tongue, olso the bike's got a strange knock sound under neath now when the chain moves through
Aren't cats supposed to be in at night??
Gotta love the Perth Caring Attitude!
