... has anyone been? Is anyone interested in going (there's a centre over east for philip island/eastern creek bookings)?

Just having a look on their site - bike hire + level 1 booking is about 700 bucks - plus obviously flights/accomodation/etc... so all said probably looking at about 2k all up - with a sizable budget for running amok, etc.

I'm definitely keen, just interested to know anyone's experiences with it, etc - am thinking maybe it could be something to incorporate with a trip to phillip island motogp 2008 perhaps?

“Crashing is shit for you, shit for the bike, shit for the mechanics and shit for the set-up,” Checa told me a while back. “It’s a signal that you are heading in the wrong direction. You want to win but crashing is the opposite. It’s like being in France when you want to go to England and when you crash you go to Spain. That way you’ll never get to England!” -- Carlos Checa

Yeah meant to be good, the insurance is a killer tho if you drop it (Round about 3g's as a maximum limit but that would add up quick if there is fairing damage.)
    Turfierific!

Yeah, don't intend on dropping the bike, and i'm pretty sure the instruction would be given to you in the interests of you NOT dropping the bike

From what I hear, level 1 is more about training your eyes and stuff than getting increased lean angles, etc anyway....

No one keen? Will have to bump the thread when the phillip island crew get back i gather

Awesome day, did it at PI last year with Andy

2 guys went down, 1 went home, the other handed over his card for another bike

I def took it easy so that Andy could put the effort in, didn't want the chance of 2x $3.5k
