find your self a m/c crate from one of the dealers first as the transport company will want to know dimensions of crate before they quote a price.

i think Bohaul davidson/davison rd maddington has been suggested before....
other wise get quotes from TNT, Courier Aust. , Startrack Express(honda's transport company), Ipec, Jetstyle, WA Frieghtlines etc etc etc and compare prices and get insurance coz accidents happen......

        Hey govner

I went through this last week myself when i was looking at bringing a ducati over from melbourne to perth. Since bought a daytona 675 at jcs in burswoord.

I think the only people to use are Bikes Only. They have custom built semi's for the job. each bike has it's own enclosure.

check out - Bikes Only - Specialists in Motorcycle Shipping and Transport

contact details on webiste, they are qld based.

They have trucks leaving every fortnight from the east to west coast and vice versa. very nice people to talk to and they go all up the east coast no matter where. Will actually pick it up from your house in perth too, so you can watch them load it.

Melbourne to perth for a ducati was $960 bucks and full insurance is 1% off the bikes value. So $20k ducati @ 1% is $200.

Total bout $1160 near enough for transport.

        Hope that helps.

i crated up my daytona 675 and got it sent here via startrack express for around the 500 buck mark,

also contacted my insurance company and my bike was insured while it was being transported so i was happy.

oh yeah, that was from perth to cairns
got here no issues took around 2 weeks though
ill tell u whats not funny, killing strippers, strippers are people too, naked people who may be willing to pleasure you for a price you can negotiate later behind a curtin in the VIP room. besides there is no need to kill them, cos most are already dead inside... -Peter Griffin-

Cameron Jones on this forum has a purpose-built bike crate he is storing at my house that is ideal for shipping bikes interstate. PM Cameron if interested.

I came over in january this year from sydney cost about $1500 with bikes only. ring your insurance company as mine was covered through them while bike is transported throughout australia even if it was shipped in australian waters
