    You get a quote from people like WQBE etc and they are how many kms you travel in a year (e.g. 8000kms, whatever). Obviously the distance you do is related to your risk factor.

    how do they prove otherwise? do you have to tell them your odometre reading at the start of the policy?

    It's currently an 'estimate' on your behalf from previous years (or expected use) from what they've told me.

    Just don't get caught too far from home with it.

      no you dont. I just got qbe insurance. make sure you get some other quotes first. ebike online are one off the cheapest and qbe will better any quote.
