I found wind to become a problem around $2.00 on an XJR but really. You're not going to go $2.00 all day long are you ? I went down today to have a look. The guys at Savage Suzuki say that they dont expect Australia to recieve the 'Final Edition' with the yoshi cans etc for another couple of years.

I bought a Bandit and other than the seat being a tad hard on longer rides it is a good all rounder. Good fuel range, good torque, bikini fairing and cheap insurance at around $400 per year. Try one out before just committing to the 14.

A friend of mine (who owns a ZX14 with power commander etc) rode mine home yesterday and was pretty happy with it.

Saw an 07 model for sale in the Sunday times for around the $9500 mark, so not bad value. I paid $13k for mine, but I got the ABS version and bought it when a full GIVI touring set came with it free.

Anyhow good luck with your purchase.

Oh you're looking at the Black one at Savage Suzuki ? Thats the one I test rode, very nice. They just sold theire Blue/White new one they had in there. Go get the 14 and supercharge it bolt on superchargers available from the UK.

              Nothing like bolting on 90rwhp....

But if you do go down that road, suspension, brakes, frame upgrades required.

                Great bike.
Doesnt do it for me cause
                1. its been smoothed out because such a big engine
                2. its been quietened down cause such a big engine

I guess what Im trying to say is that Suzuki put the biggest inline 4 they could on the road and then refined it too much. Also I dont feel confident pushing the front too hard on something that heavy, but depends on ur skill of course

BUt the build quality definetly seems to be better than my SV1K and it looks gorgeopus in the White n Blue colours

The GSX1400 seems to be a LOT better finished than the Bandit and after spending PLENTY of time on both the 1400 would get my money every time.

Great bike super fun to ride.

Good job they have all that bottom end as the top is certainly well strangled. Lots to be let loose there but in the end, do you really need it? Some will, some won't, as a smooth and fuss free motorcycle as stock it certainly has monster balls to make the commute good fun and in the hills makes the gear lever an optional extra... If you want to see how strangled the breathing is, check out the airbox intake.... You couldn't lube it up and feck it the intake hole is that small... And that's to feed one helluva of a big donk!

took one for a test ride today, felt awesome! if i find there isn't enough top end some airbox mods and a PCIII might be able to help with some pipes....

either way it'll suit my needs for now.

other advantage with a bike having a big motor is it has to do less work/effort for the same result so they usally last longer
