  • Insurance recommendations?

    Hi all

At the moment the cheapest insurance I've found for a 2020 Ninja 1000 is with Swann, and I was going to go to QBE to beat it.

Anyone have any other suggestions? RAC were 2.5x more expensive than the most expensive quote I'd had which was from Youi. What a joke.

A year ago Swann was the cheapest when I needed insurance for my third bike. I do have the other two insured with them, so that probably made a difference.
Will be interesting to see what you find a year on from my experience.

I’ve got SGIO price is pretty good, I’ve never claimed so can’t tell you if they are worth it or not. You need to weigh up price vs service with insurance products

I've said it before but I know some have found Shannons good but that's only if you don't ride regularly! Unless things have changed they wouldn't cover you if you commute/ride more than 3 times a week
Been happy so far with Swann, 2 claims and both turned out good eventually (more related to the 1st repairer not Swann ) Was really glad I got Potato doing the repairs the second time

I used Swan insurance when I got my first bike as they were by far the cheapest as I was under 25 at the time and looking to spend as little as possible.

Was with them for about 3 years then got cleaned up on the freeway by some fuckwit in a car and they wrote my bike off reimbursed me for all my gear & personal items that were damaged up to the maximum limits and reimbursed my excess once they deemed I was not at fault. Claiming and contacting them was really easy and it took a week or two from memory to get everything sorted.

Haven’t ridden since but getting my big boy license next month and will be signing back up with Swann once I’m back on two wheels hopefully pretty soon.

Changed to Swann from Shannon’s as they were $82 whilst Swann is $42. Swann is for a higher agreed value.

Heard some horror stories with Swann so hopefully all goes well.
