  • Where to take a bike test..?

Seeing as I'll have, well, fuck-all time in Perth to actually sit my R-class test, I was just wondering which centers you can actually do it?

    I'm a little confused, as there's a list here: http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/licensing/centres/index.html. There's also a list of regional centers here: http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/licensing/photoli...s.html#regional

It just says those regional centers have "full licensing services", but I think that means you can only pay for stuff there, get renewals etc. as opposed to actually sitting a test.

The only reason I'd bother going for my licence other than in Perth somewhere is I can't book a test until I get back in Perth, and it'll probably take me more than three weeks for the Dept of Transport to have a space for me to sit one.

Any suggestions? Otherwise I'm thinking of riding (er, with an instructor I might add) to Pinjarra or Mandurah or somewhere quiet, where there won't be a waiting list.

    Thoughts?

    cheers,

    #9.

I would suggest putting your name in and wait for a cancellation in Perth. Failing that, go to Pinjarra. I used to live in Mandurah, I got my car license and bike license there. there was a big waiting list, but pinjarra you could get in within a week or two. hope this helps.

            Lets not worry about:

            a) You're not insurable without a licence.
If you slam into some 3 year old kid and kill him/her, your not insured.
            c) If you slam into a Mazarati and cause $50k's damage to his door....your not insured.
            d) You will eventually get caugt.

Consider the guys you ride with. Take one of them out and fuck his bike up, and he is not at fault and not insured himself.....whos guna have ta pay for it? Yah. You are.

Get yer licence, get minimum 3rd party insurance. Its the only right and responcible thing to do. A 5 min riding test that could avoid fucking up your life.
