  • Squeaking

My front break and back break squeaks a lot when I brake, can some one with the grand knowledge of bikes tell me why it squeaks? It is a problem? How can I fix it? What are the alternatives?

    Thank you

take the pads out and rub them on some clean concrete. dirt trapped in there will cause this. or you could also get some CRC Anti Squeal and put that on the back of the pads or anti squeal shims if you have them
IM ALWAYS ON THE EDGE, ITS ONLY THE SHARPNESS THAT VARYS

Nah, use a thin smear of copperslip copper grease on the back, the CRC stuff is too light and washes off.

On the back of the pads...

This guy has probably put a smidge too much on.
Don't bother with the CRC, the copper grease is the right way to do it.

If you still run OEM pads you might want to change them, the stok ones are famous for how crap they are and their squakyness.
