  • What kind of Ear protection do you use?

    Hi all,

What type of ear protection do you use?
How well does is work on higher freeway speeds?

Do you generally feel your ears aren't effected by your riding?

I personally use Foam ear plugs

They work fine for me, if you use the same ones more than once they keep losing effectiveness fast. Must use new ones regularly. Hence very pricey over time.

It's pros are that losing them are no drama.

    I'd give them 7 out of 10.

    What would you recommend?

yep if your not wearing good headphones. go to a safety shop which deals in tradies gear and get some they are pretty cheap. have a look and get the ones you like best, the contoured foam ones are the ones i use but the rubber plug type will last longer.

I don't know the location of any safety shops in perth. Do you know of any on the south of the river?

WEAR A HIGH VISIBILITY VEST OR YOU COULD RISK NOT BEING SEEN.

Its personal choice. No need to school people.

Might be a bit late for me mate.

I've been a tradie for close to 30 years. Daily use of drills, jackhammers, nail guns and all sorts of noisy stuff, along with extremely loud punk gigs in me yoof.

Can't even hear me bike when I'm riding, for the ringing in me ears.

In ear custom molded jobbies from Protec Hearing (PH: 0428 507 335).
They cost abit of coin but worth it in my opinion, also there should be a stall at the up coming motorcycle and scooter show.
