  • I hate brake dust.

Does any body else have this prob? I do about 200k's a day and my wheels are covered in dust, I understand I do a lot of K's and I need to wash the wheels (prob every day with these K's) more often. But it wont wash of I've tried degresser, petrol, toothbrush and ajax. any ideas
Is there any type of spray coat that will make it easier to clean?

Yup - CO contact clearer - spray on rag, wipe off.

Easiest stuff I've ever used - its a solvent, but wont damage paintwork, crome etc etc.

Should be able to pick it up at any good hardware store.

some brands of pads are worse than others for brake dust- softer pads wear quicker and will make more dust vs a hard pad like EBC HH

preen heavy duty stain remover will clean up rims

get black rims. In time, they will become matt black rims.
As a general rule, the better it felt when you said it, the more trouble it's going to get you into.

Be carefull with CO contact cleaner. There are two kinds of the same thing.
One eats rubber and plastics, one dosent. One will badly efect your tyres.
                    ASK when you by. Please.

Yeh thats why I provided a picture - the other stuff is the NF Contact cleaner. (for non Flammable). Dont use that.

I find it better to tell someone to use something rather than tell them to use something but not the other. I know when I have two types in my head, I tend to buy both, just tobe safe...

As mentioned by someone else, I swapped my GPX pads to ebc HH on the front and there has been a huge reduction in the amount of dust generated. I'm a lazy fuck and don't clean the bike anyways so it doesn't really matter.

Even better on the ER6 with white rim tape, wipe the tape and they look clean ^_^
