  • How far would you go for a PSB member

I managed too piss off a fellow member over a thoughtless thing the other day, nothing major but important neither the less. Problem is he's me bestest mate, and thinking over and over about it really pissed me off ( with myself ), i'd never do anything to hurt our friendship and would happily hand over money, time or a place to stay, or what ever was needed really. This got me thinking...what would you do for a fellow PSB member ? I've been reading ' A wayward Angel ' ( Hells Angels ) recently and finding out what they'd go though for each other ( a bit too much for me ). So, if a member asked you for help, real help, but it put you out...would you feel as part of our club you should do it ? And mods, don't worry i'm going no where with this, just wondered.^_^

Not going to put too much on the line for someone I dont know, just because they joined an internet forum.

If someone has been contributing to the forum or ive met them, then im happy to put up my time, tools and whatever else. I dont mind being inconvenienced, but my family comes first.

I'm not going to sit here and say what I've done, but as to what I would do? Depends on the member. A Camel Salesmen type member would get a cup of fuck all. But of the people I have met and know off the forum I'd help them out in any realistic way I could. Its what it means to be a community; a part of something.

Yeh ill help out a fellow PSB member even if i havent met them. It all depends on the type of help they need though. If its something like "bike wont start, need someone to have a look at it" then i would definately help out, even lend them some tools to use if they seem like a fair person (only after ive met them in person). All depends on the help they need though.

Depends on what was needed and if it impacted on my family at all, they do come first.

I'll help out a fellow member without meeting them, for sure.
Been around to fix a few bikes, lift some heavy shit, pick up a broken/smashed bike, been to hoospital with people.
It all depends on how well you know them, all of the stuff in my list has been reciprocated.
Some of the people here I'd put my life in danger for.

Lent Bunyack my portable hard drive + cabling this week so he could get stuff of his other hard drive. Never met the bloke, but how people act on here over time gives you an impression of what they are like in person.
Wouldn't do this with just anyone, but its no biggie to help others out when they need it.
Oh, and Ghetto once walked up to me on a ride and helped cable tie my fender after a bolt worked its way loose
out of the blue. Cheers for that.

I've offered a spare bed to a member and his wife that were coming into town for a party. Glad to do it and they were a pleasure. I'm happy to help out with tools or expertise any time. I'll lend a hand with a crashed bike or spare gloves at the track or just another rider looking for help. I've never been burned or put out by a fellow rider so i'll keep on doing it.

That's about as much as I'd put myself out i think so nobody come asking me for a loan (it all goes to tyres and entry fees anyway).

Drove to work to grab the ute and pick up a RGV missing a chain tonight. Not really as a point of helping, just wanted the extra 20min drive to laugh at him!
