yep im bored so im makin a new post.

been thinkin alot lately about my r class upgrade (this is not about that so keep reading) which comes april or so next year, now prob not going to have alot of cash and im not looking to spend alot either to be honest.

i have been looking at a kwaka zx7r for a while now 96' model onwards, just wanted to know general thoughts on this bike. reliability, experience with it etc> dad had one said it was an animal, thoughts??????

either that or ill grab a Z750.

    cheers

i like the zx7. it is pretty. i rode one once and i laiked it. when i went to stop and the lights i revved it.
it had a muzzy ekhorest and sounded real cool. i rode a zx6 too that day and it was much lighter. the zx7 was heavier but the front end felt more planted.
my favorit zx7 was the black one with yellow stripes.

Err i'm guessing you mean one of the newer ZX7R's?

Not one of the olds school 750R's...EDIT: Just read the years you are looking at so never mind that...

Anywho...a ZX7 was the first big bike I took for a spin..so it's hard to say as the whole time i was thinking "OMG THIS THING HAS BALLS".

Had no trouble lifting the front wheel in first and then me slamming it down to my poor nuts dismay. Everyone who owns one seems to love them too, not a bad word said about them.

Also, i'd test ride a few bikes as everyone always says...'cos you never know what you love till you sit in the seat and take it for a boot.

          ^ it luked like that.

          Basically
          - Carbied.
          - Slower than most 600s out now (about 100 odd horespower).
          - Slower than most 600s back then.
          - Heavy.
          - Stable.
          - Perfect step up from a 250.

Everyone I've talked to who has owned one loved it.

As has been previously mentioned, front end confidence = excellent (the one recurring comment i hear every time i talk to someone about their ownership of it)

I'd buy one if you're looking for a bike about that age and like the look of it. Also check out the GSX-R750 of similar vintage...
“Crashing is shit for you, shit for the bike, shit for the mechanics and shit for the set-up,” Checa told me a while back. “It’s a signal that you are heading in the wrong direction. You want to win but crashing is the opposite. It’s like being in France when you want to go to England and when you crash you go to Spain. That way you’ll never get to England!” -- Carlos Checa

              love it!

DO EEEEEET if it makes you happy.. works a treat for me, front feels very planted and stable havent ridden it enough to try and hoist it and don't think the old man would be happy if i did while being shadowed
