so i made a stupid mistake today.... i was moving my bike and instead of putting on my helmet i just hung it on the mirror. i was only moving it about 20m and was riding along about 10km a hour and the helmet dropped of onto the concreat its taken a chip of the lid paintwork but do you think my helmets ruined.... should i get another one to be on the safe side?

I think it will be fine.

Didn't anyone see that Arai interview video about helmets with Jay Leno?

What sort of fabric is it? Polycarb - not good, GRP - not good but probably OK

Where is the damage? Did it land on its base or the crown...?

Jay Leno & the Arai man Video

              It's about 7 minutes in.

EDIT: He did say "in the case of an Arai", but other helmets aren't that much different are they?

Hey helmet buffs, I have a question - will dropping your helmet affect the crash-safety of the entire helmet, or just the area immediately surrounding the drop impact?

You'll never be able to get on a racetrack with that.

Just one more reason to put an axe through it. Too bad too. I had a KBC VR2 for 2 years, good value for the money.
