  • EOI - "How to" bike night or ..... Hewie's How To For Newbs

Ok this is an EOI only at this stage.

Im wonder if there would be enough interest in me organising a basic how to night for some of our less mechanically minded members.

These have been run before and have been fairly successful so I figured it was probably about time to do another.

Im thinking of covering the basics:

How to change a chain and sprockets
    How to tighten a chain
    How to remove wheels
    How to change your oil/filter

Stuff like that (Ill come up with a full list later)

Id be looking for someone to supply a bike to work on .. you supply the bike and parts ... we'll do the work for you and show you how its done.

Places would be limited .. but Im just gauging interest at this stage.

No date has been set yet - at this stage Im thinking mid Oct. Venue would be dependent on numbers and availability ... however they are all SoR.

So post up if your interested.

    Cheers

    H
Some say he eats sidchrome for breakfast

Some say he only showers on even days of the week

Some say he put an R1 motor in a coffee machine

All we know is he's Hewie.

The ER6 needs most of that work done, and being a naked there's no messing about with fairings etc.

I'd definitely be in for this - I am in need of some knowledge about the mechanical aspects fo my bike and this sounds just the ticket

id be in for this for sure
ive done a couple of really basic bits but nothing really useful

something to do with the brakes would also be good (ie how to change the pads, how to change the disc etc)
There is no more time, even for cake. For you, the cake is over. You have reached the end of cake.

              I'm keen.

And can offer a VTR if the ER6 mysteriously disappears...
