  • SBK R1 Bike Build Timelapse

    Check it ..

While we were building the SBK R1 for the first time I left a video camera running in the corner on a tripod just to see if I could make a sort of a time lapse of the build.

The clip is 7 mins and is about 5 days worth of recording time.

Its not a very good production .. Im still learning how to use the software .. but its ok for a first go I need to up the resolution and add a few things.

This is the first 5 days of the bike build.

Some say he eats sidchrome for breakfast

Some say he only showers on even days of the week

Some say he put an R1 motor in a coffee machine

All we know is he's Hewie.

Ta ... This was just my first attempt at making a video.

Im going to re edit it tonight with the rest of the footage and see if I can compress it a bit further.

            But its a start.

the wheels change in the video?
Anyone else see glimps of sus looking activity?

very cool tho. Really lets you see how much work actually goes into the bike.

                The wheels change 3 times

First we use the gold rims, then we take those off and use the old stock rims, then finally the new CF rear rim goes on.

Awesome vid! But if you can compress it into like 4-5 minutes it would be even better

Yeah I will try again tonight. I want to get it down to 5 mins for the full 10 days.

Its just hard as it takes about 4 hours to build. That vid is 500gb raw.

I love a good time lapse

And you really did start from scratch, no getting a built bike and just swapping parts for you.

I love when people think ahead and document their project like this.
                          I am a sucker for a good time-lapse video.

                          Hat off to you Hewie.

and the worker gang. Sorry guys didn't mean to ignore you

I really wish i had an enclosed garage.

cool vid well done , just out of interest did you buy a complete bike and strip it down or just sourced all the parts you needed for the build.
