  • Oily shit in tunnel

Anyone know what that oily brown looking shit is in the tunnel. Every time I go through there its on the road in little pools. Due to this I am thinking it can't be engine oil?

    Ideas?

I know someone who built it, it leaks and always will and will be a liability for the state in a decade or so.

It's moisture coming up through the top surface.

They should have done the thing as a proper tunnel to begin with.
Not dig a trench and put a lid on top.

Have they kept the digger used for the rail tunnel?

Off topic but OZZY you should really change the little "" smiley you have set for every post..gives the wrong impression of some of your posts...haha.

But yes..as others have said..it's just mirky water...thanks to W.A's finest building structures.

Definitely looks like it's got a shine to it to me... i went over one of those patches while accelerating when changing lanes (patch was obscured by the car), and I felt the wheel spin... not 100% convinced water alone would have done that...

I think the water is bringing all manner or oily shit up with it.

A company I worked for quoted on a subsoil darinage sytem to cope with the water, but they didn't want to spend the money, now they have to spend like 5 x the amount on maintenance etc and will probably end up digging it up and laying the stuff down anyway.

That stuff is like ice when wet. Just hope you never have to hit the brakes hard when splitting in the tunnel.
You put the c*nt in country run

                              Lol!! I know I do.

Ontopic : Brown stuff looks more like oil to me...but maybe that's just coz of the lighting inside the tunnel.
