        Sorry boys you can't weld ally to steel ,I would use 2.1 checker plate steel and either cut old floor sheet out or you can just lay new sheet over top of old one not recommended due to rust just carrying on underneath new floor ,my qualifications for this advice boilermaker / 1st class welder ,welding supervisor cert 10 ,welding inspector sw1 and as1796 3e .
