    Hi All,

This Sunday is the first MCRCWA race meeting for the year, it is a Club race day and the season warm up for 2011. It should be a great day with fine weather and lots of new bikes and riders making their debut. Come on up and support the local talent.

The following is an exert from the MCRCWA website.

The 2011 WA Road Racing season is about to commence with the first of 6 race meetings - the Club race day - Sunday April 3rd. Season warmups have commenced with a number of new and experienced competitors taking advantage of the Tuning day on March 13 at Barbagallo, a track day at Collie and the Historic race.

Out and about on their new BMW S 1000RR machines were Ben and Cameron Stronach riding for the first time the Allight/Wattsy Motorsport/Auto Classic sponsored machines. Young up and coming rider Mason Coote who won the 2010 Superstock Series will contect the Supersport State Title this season, sponsored by Wattsy's Motorsport.

Bunbury rider and past State Champion Josh Trigwell ventured out on not just one bike but two. Josh will be contesting both the WA Supersport CHampionship aboard a Yamaha R6 and the WA Steelblue Superbike Championship on a Honda 1000 sponsored by Exit Nightclub. They are joined by a number of competitors including Mark Schnierer, Honda 1000 (returning after a 2 year break), Adam Senior (Honda 1000), 2010 Supersport State Champ Ralph Mammoliti stepping up to the premier Superbike Class aboard the new Kawasaki ZX10, Shane Martin (new ZX10), Lubi Safenrak (Honda 1000), Andrew Schrape (Industrial People Kawasaki 1000) and Stuart Adams this year riding the ex Cameron Keevers Honda 1000. A number of new competitors also joined the Tuning Day having a taste of their first licensed rider sessions - welcome to Brad Smith, Greg Tressider, Mark Donnelly, Mike Hurlbatt (KTM), Tim Jackson, Guy Smart (BMW), Dave Garner (Yamaha) Chris Hyland (Honda) and Gary McNamara (Yamaha).

Jamie Boland headed down from up north to do the Historic race meeting on the short track at Barbagallo. He is looking forward to doing all the state rounds aboard his new Kawasaki.

A number of new riders passed their MA licence test at the Racecraft days and have now entered for the season warmup race day - the Interclub on April 3rd. Welcome to Brendan Zattera (GSXR1000), Chris Hyland, Ian Cole (R1), Stewart Ward (CBR1000), Guy Smart (S1000RR) and Andrew Eipeldauer (Suzuki 1000).

The Sidecar Passenger Come and Try day was also held on the 13th March with great success. Many people experienced sidecar passengering first hand. Thanks to Karen Dore, Phil Brown, Des Harvey, Geoff Jackson, Micky Robbins, Lindsay Fagan, Daniel Jenkins, Trevor Clyma, Rupert Lipscombe, Paula Dalgleish and Jero Joyce for their expertise and coaching.
