  • Friday 13 May 2011 - Dam Busters Ride (Sports Twin)

Those who are free & not superstitious (black Friday), any Sports Twin riders interested in a Dam Busters run for some rumble in the forest?

We will be going pass about 5 dams. Start from Gosnells Caltex then to Canning Dam, Serpentine Dam, Dwellingup, Waroona Dam and probably have lunch at Waroona (country pie shop or pub?) Approx 450 km return trip.

Nanga Bridge is still open but will close during June & July for maintenance.

After lunch, if time permits , we can head towards Harvey to Stirling Dam or somewhere else or start to head back. Should aim to start heading back (same way as we came) no later than 2pm so can return home by 4.30pm.

Opportunity to meet other PSB riders and give your tyres a good scrubbing. Weather forecast is 23 & sunny = beautiful. Non twin riders are welcome.

These roads are tight & twisty most of the way with some bumps along the way, plenty of trees await you if you go wide and not to mentioned cars going wide as you are taking a fast corner. Ride within your own limits (me included) as better to arrive late than never. Faster riders will wait up as there will be short breaks. It’s not a race or attempt to break any records or twins vs 4 pots vs V4’s.

Meet at 8.30am for 8.45am departure at Caltex Station (cnr Albany Hwy & Gosnells Rd West, Gosnells). Those coming from NOR or not familiar, it’s just before City of Gosnells Office or Gosnells Railway Markets.

Thanks for the warning Blazon. I was there earlier this week and no spills.
