So the past couple of weeks while I have been waiting for other work to be done, been working on the motor. Top end - well # 2 and #3 had broken oil rings, so a full Piston ring Set was ordered and arrived this week. Bottom end was pretty damn good considering. Fairly clean inside, did a hi volume gear mod to the oil pump, cleaned everything up internally, boxed it up and gave it a coat of paint. Side covers are on the motor, but clutch assembly, electrical's and stator all non existent, looking to fit that next couple of weeks as work commitments allow. The head requires new exhaust valves so, we are down tools there until they arrive from APE parts state side. Happy its all starting to take shape nicely

          Have gone from this:

          TO THIS SO FAR:

Long way to go, but we are getting there

We have tyres, brake calipers, MC, still on the hunt for a decent looking clutch master cylinder, braided lines are ordered for front back and clutch being hydraulic, and a modded Steering damper will be required too. Rear seat pod should be ready still waiting for that call to go and collect it. Love it when a plans comes together.

On the top of each piston is an etched part number, which I sourced and matched to the Wiseco R1109 12:1 C/R, all good.

Would like to know who this guy is in the picture. I'm told he's the Engine Supervisor that is a live in

Ballistic Kevlar clutches in all put together with HD bolts; APE Tensioner on, Dyna 2000 locked and loaded waiting for me to wire it up (as you can see). Final polishing comes when the motors back in the frame, probably next month at this rate. Cylinder head is 2 weeks away from completion. Valves are in the country just not in my hands. Adjustable cam sprockets too in the same parcel. ST2 Camshafts are being knocked up in Japan, deposit paid Friday. They had none in stock and so Yoshi Japan are throwing some in the December production run for me.

Ordered some other bits and bobs this week. Should see them over the coming weeks as the postie allows. And so, we wait some more

Might be able to get something done now - lolol

Had these made in the US. Couldn't find anyone in Australia that was prepared to try it.

50 mm Fork Extender caps to return the 2008 forks to 770 mm for geometry and clearance purposes.

Head is back and now fitted - My thanks to Neil Anderson at Pro Flo for completing the much needed work - He wants it back when its all together to tune it - that will be fun

Threw on the Vortex Top end oilers and the unfinished rocker cover to stand back and get some perspective - Am not happy with the finished product yet, but its getting there. Lots to get on with in the meantime.

NO cams as yet, still on someones floor at the Yoshi Factory in Japan.

Due the end of January, had to special order the bastard things. Oh well, gives me time to finish the frame properly. One day I will take some pictures outside and get some reflection - rofl

Short of putting the frame together and outfitting it now, this may be the last post for 2013. Come back next year and we should have made some leaps and bounds by then, Merry Xmas all

Got the frame back. Had some other mods done to help finish it up.

Spool lifts; Undertray plate for the fuel pump, fuel filter fuse box etc, etc; New axle nut made so I can tighten the little sucker up, and a new centre mast fitted as the old one, didn't work so good.

here are a few pics, also Pics of the 50 mm extender caps on after they were anodised, forks serviced with new fluids - cheers They resemble Ohlins caps don't they
