  • Whose bike was this? PSB YZF600R Rossi GP Fairings

So I got bored waiting for the wife to choose a new house, told her I was getting my rear end back on a sports bike and finances/mortgage broker be damned!!! I initially presented a well structured and evidence based budget request for $15k. This was approved with a shaped budget of $2k

I found an interesting old fixer upper project that I've paid for, a YZF600R - not licensed but doesn't need to much to get it passed the pits.

I chose this bike as I have had 2 prior so am familiar with the machine, I also liked the black coated frame of this example and decent exhaust. I also noted it had PSB stickers all over it.

The bike came from an older bloke who hadn't had it for long. He wanted to have a crack at sports bikes but the riding position and grunt scared him off. He literally put 300km on it in 12 months.

No service or previous ownership history, so I am curious if anyone here recognizes the machine?

I do have some questions about any previous service history or major issues, mostly from curiosity to fill in a large un-recorded historical gap.

    Cheers.

    Dale.

Was his previous bike a penny farthing?

Check out the following two links. Biggest concern with these (and any bike really) is second gear.

Trying to think of a wise and sincere signature quote, but the only words that leap to mind are, "TITTY SPRINKLES"

Yeah....bought a house with a huge grey dirt driveway out at Bakers Hill, not even sure how I'm going to get this up there. It's going to be challenging for the Ford let alone the sports bike.
