  • Buildup of an '07 R6

Well, as some may know, I've got rid of my two previous bikes (FZ6S, K4 GSXR600), and gone for a new bike, which is going to be a summer road bike, and racing season race bike.....

Managed to pick myself up an '07 R6 at a very good price, and am in the process of spending $$$$ to get it where I want.

Currently it is completely stock, and looks like anything else out there, however this is all going to change in about 250km (after first service)

    Stock Bike......

Currently I have the following sitting in my lounge, ready to be installed:
C-n-R Shorty levers (Black with red adjuster tabs)
Sprocket Specialists STEALTH 520 Rear Sprocket (47 teeth)
    Sprocket Specialists/Driven 520 Front Sprockets (16/15)
    DID ERV3 520 Chain
    Red GPR Steering Damper
    Driven Grips

Also on order/in process of ordering:
    Zap Racing FE Kit
    Custom Built SS Brake Lines
Graves Full exhaust (SS Headers) + CIC Treatment
    Traxxion Dynamics Tank Sliders
Woodcraft Case covers with Red sliders
    PCIII + Ignition Module
    Pickup Knobs
    Custom Sticker kit.
    Attack Performance Bodywork.

I'll add pictures as things evolve.....

Some say he eats sidchrome for breakfast

Some say he only showers on even days of the week

Some say he put an R1 motor in a coffee machine

All we know is he's Hewie.

There's heaps of 07 600rrs written off on 600rr.net already

Shiny new bike, idiot noob riding out of class or unlicensed on the cool looking bike = disaster.

Be interested to see if you get the midrange the R6 lacks, a few guys on 600rr.net own them and reckon a pipe + remap does heaps for them - particularly through the mid-range
“Crashing is shit for you, shit for the bike, shit for the mechanics and shit for the set-up,” Checa told me a while back. “It’s a signal that you are heading in the wrong direction. You want to win but crashing is the opposite. It’s like being in France when you want to go to England and when you crash you go to Spain. That way you’ll never get to England!” -- Carlos Checa

Will it be a mini-me of yours?

If so...then someone maxed out their credit card recently in the US. :p
